To ensure your horse receives the most beneficial treatment session possible, there are some important things to know when booking a session to avoid any possible interferences and or complications. Please take a moment to read before booking your next session! For any questions, feel free to contact me.

Avoid using fly spray before your Acuscope session! Fly spray makes it almost impossible for my tape to stick. Fly spray may be applied once all electrodes and tape have been placed appropriately.

Medications will alter my instrument's readings. Please be sure to mention any medications your horse is on when giving their history, and if they are started on any following their initial start-up session. This is just to help me as a therapist!

Horses must be completely dry before treatment. Following a treatment session, they need to stay completely dry for a minimum of 6 hours, preferably 24 hours. Water is a conductor and will dissipate the concentration of the administered current.

Other modalities such as Back on Track, BEMER, Magnawave, PEMF, Cryotherapy, etc. will interfere with your horses treatment session. Please refrain from using any other modalities 24 hours before treatment and for 72 hours after.
For any topical products/ointments please reach out to see if it will interfere.

If your horse is going to or has recently been injected and or vaccinated, please let your therapist know! I Avoid treating the injection site area for 10-14 days to allow the medication to do its thing before returning to that area. I can treat other areas of the body during this time, however, initial start-up sessions must wait.

Other than pre-performance sessions, it is very important to allow your horse to rest after their session. Allowing your horse to have the rest of the day off after their session is the easiest way to help your horse receive the most beneficial session possible!
